Tithing trains our hearts to trust God as our true provider. By offering the first fruits of what we receive, we grow in generosity and loosen the hold money can have on us. Giving is simply an act of faith and worship, not a way to manipulate God’s blessing. Tithing 10% is a way of training our lives to become like our generous Lord and live in greater freedom from worldly attachments.
