For Christians, tithing is a formational practice that can help one grow into spiritual maturity. We believe it is biblical to give back to God the first fruits of our labor. Money can quickly have a hold on us in devious ways. When we choose to give, we loosen the grip money has on us. Tithing 10% is a way of training our lives to become like our generous Lord and live in greater freedom from worldly attachments. 

Tithing is not meant to be legalistic. It is a way we worship God through faith that He is our provider. If you're new to tithing, we encourage you to invite the Holy Spirit to help guide you and start somewhere as you ask for God's grace to grow your capacity to give. Lastly, tithing is not about giving to gain God's blessing. Generosity is not about "looking holy" in front of others. We can't manipulate God's grace. It is simply an act of faith, offering our first fruits to God and a way to worship Him as our true provider.
